Car Crash Mableton Georgia in Mableton, Georgia: A 23-year-old Powder Springs man riding a motorcycle was killed Wednesday evening in a crash in Mableton, Cobb County, according to police. The crash occurred just after 6:30 p.m. when the driver of a Kia SUV, 75-year-old Johnnie Brown of Atlanta, attempted a left turn onto Veterans Memorial Highway and entered the motorcycle's path. The motorcycle struck the driver's side of the Kia, and the rider was thrown into the westbound lanes and pronounced dead at the scene. Brown suffered minor injuries and was transported to Wellstar Cobb Medical Center. The Cobb County Police Department's STEP Unit is investigating.
