Car Crash Lake Butler Florida in Lake Butler, Florida: A 23-year-old driver died early Thursday morning after his car went airborne during a crash in Lake Butler, Florida, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the man, from Lake City, was headed north on County Road 18A in Union County just after midnight when he missed a curve and drove onto the right grass shoulder. The car hit the edge of Southwest 63rd Drive, went airborne over the road, and landed on the opposite shoulder. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car and died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
