According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was headed north on County Road 18A just after midnight when he missed a curve, drove onto the right grass shoulder, and hit the edge of Southwest 63rd Drive, which sent the car airborne. He was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle, and died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
