Young Kentucky couple killed in head-on crash on AA Highway…

Car Crash Bracken Kentucky in Bracken, Kentucky: A young couple was killed when a driver attempted to pass on a double-yellow line and struck their vehicle head-on. Kentucky State Police said the crash occurred on Saturday on the AA Highway in Bracken County. Brandon Barrett of Ohio, driving a 2004 Ford SUV westbound, attempted to pass on a double-yellow line and struck a 2024 Kia head-on. The driver of the Kia, Tyler Smith, and his wife Emily Smith, both of Bracken County, were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bracken County Coroner's Office. Barrett was transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, and the crash remains under investigation by a KSP accident reconstructionist.
