Hit And Run San Diego California in San Diego, California: A driver was detained by law enforcement on Wednesday morning after allegedly driving the wrong way on Interstate 8 in the College Area of San Diego and crashing into multiple vehicles at the southbound College Avenue on-ramp to westbound I-8. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 10:45 a.m. A San Diego police official said the driver of a black Mercedes-Benz fled from a traffic stop and traveled east in the westbound lanes of I-8 before crashing on the ramp, slamming into several vehicles. San Diego Fire-Rescue officials reported four people were transported to the hospital, two in critical condition.
