Worker injured in Orion Township trench collapse at new sub…

Workplace Accident Oakland Michigan in Oakland, Michigan: A 25-year-old subcontracted excavation worker from Clarkston was injured when the ground gave way around a trench box during sanitary sewer installation at a new residential subdivision under construction in Orion Township. Coworkers and first responders freed him before specialized rescue teams arrived. He suffered injuries to both legs and was transported to McLaren Oakland Hospital in stable condition. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday.
