Pedestrian Hit Nantucket Massachusetts in Nantucket, Massachusetts: A pedestrian woman in her sixties was struck and run over by the driver of a Rivian SUV with Connecticut plates in the downtown Stop & Shop parking lot on Nantucket on Monday. Firefighters extricated her from underneath the vehicle and transported her by ambulance to Nantucket Cottage Hospital with serious injuries, after which she was airlifted by Medflight helicopter to a mainland hospital. Nantucket Police, Community Service Officers, and Fire all responded to the scene. The circumstances of the crash and whether charges will be filed remain unknown.
