Assault Fairhaven Massachusetts in Fairhaven, Massachusetts: Fairhaven Police responded at about 10:44 a.m. on July 1, 2026, to the area of 60 Main Street in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, for a reported stabbing. Officers found a man with an apparent stab wound to the chest; he was treated by Fairhaven EMS and transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. An adult female was taken into custody at the scene. Police said the suspect and victim are known to each other and there is no threat to the public. The Bristol County District Attorney's Office and Massachusetts State Police detectives are investigating.
