Hit And Run Pine California in Pine, California: A single-vehicle crash on northbound Highway 99 south of the Victor Road interchange near the Pine Street overpass at about 11:26 p.m. Friday ejected the front-seat passenger and partially ejected the driver through the windshield before the vehicle came to rest on a metal guardrail. Both occupants were transported to a local hospital, where they later died from their injuries. The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner identified the victims as Deanna Mare Jasso, 31, of Lodi, and Luis Calderon, 32, of Riverbank. Less than 12 hours later, a fatal hit-and-run on Eight Mile Road killed bicyclist James Federer, 41, of Stockton, along with his two dogs; the suspect vehicle is believed to be a silver or light gray SUV or Ford truck with right-front damage, last possibly seen in the Spanos Park West area near Scott's Creek Drive.
