During the investigation, deputies learned the victim had been riding in a vehicle with Labrieall McDonald, 34, Christopher Baker, 44, and two juveniles when an argument broke out; the victim was struck in the head with a firearm and choked before escaping and contacting law enforcement. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Later that morning, a ShotSpotter alert reported three gunshots near Brentwood Park, and witnesses said a man and woman inside a white GMC Acadia fired multiple rounds toward their vehicle, with one bullet striking the front passenger door.
