Suspect dead after Berlin shooting leads to standoff on I-4…

Police Pursuit Crash Berlin Massachusetts in Berlin, Massachusetts: A shooting at the Highland Commons shopping area in Berlin, Massachusetts, left one man dead and led to a police pursuit onto I-495 in Lowell. The suspect and victim, who knew each other, had an alleged altercation before the victim was shot several times and died at the scene. The suspect fled and was followed by a witness before Massachusetts State Police used GPS technology and emergency measures to force the suspect to pull over in the median of I-495. A negotiator and drone were deployed, and the suspect was found dead from what Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Berlin Police and Massachusetts State Police are investigating.
