Car Crash Anchorage Alaska in Anchorage, Alaska: Three vehicles collided on the Seward Highway where it runs along Potter Marsh in Anchorage around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, and all ended up at least partially submerged in water. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, and another person was taken to a local hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening. The highway between Rabbit Creek Rifle Range and Potter Valley Road was closed for more than seven hours while police investigated. Anchorage police spokesperson Adam Nicely said it was unclear if there were additional people in the vehicles, and the cause of the crash remained under investigation.
