Bicycle Crash Independence Missouri in Independence, Missouri: A man riding a motorized scooter was struck by an unknown westbound vehicle on 23rd Street near Woodbury Drive just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Independence Police Department said the scooter operator sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where he remains in life-threatening condition.
