Car Crash Exceeding Safe Speed North Carolina in exceeding safe speed, North Carolina: A Raleigh man was charged with involuntary manslaughter and other offenses after police said he caused a fatal crash Sunday night on Interstate 87. The N.C. State Highway Patrol arrested Wimandre Anton Hendricks, 33, on eight charges, including felony involuntary manslaughter, misdemeanor death by vehicle and exceeding safe speed, in a crash that killed Derick Dewayne Wright and seriously injured Dante Moliek Barnes. Hendricks was also charged with reckless driving, driving without a license, expired/no inspection and unsafe tires. Officers said he was driving at a speed greater than reasonable under rainy conditions. Hendricks refused a blood alcohol test after the crash.
