Witnesses told investigators they had seen Goodyke earlier that evening tied up and mumbling on the other side of the canal before a relative found him dead. After investigating, police arrested 41-year-old Hector Corrales on suspicion of kidnapping and first-degree murder; a second unidentified man is also accused of restraining Goodyke and wheeling him away from a home toward the canal.
