Car Crash Schuylkill Pennsylvania in Schuylkill, Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania State Trooper Mike Pahira, a 20-year state police veteran, was conducting a vehicle safety inspection on the side of Interstate 81 South in Schuylkill County around 7 a.m. on Wednesday when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The vehicle that hit Pahira also collided with another vehicle and caught fire. The driver of the striking vehicle was taken to the hospital. Pahira was killed in the incident.
