Car Crash Pennsylvania Today in Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Mike Pahira, a 20-year veteran assigned to Troop L in Frackville, was killed on Wednesday morning while conducting a commercial vehicle safety inspection on Interstate 81 South near Mile Marker 119 in Cass Township, Schuylkill County. Pahira was outside his patrol vehicle inspecting a commercial truck when he was struck by a passing commercial vehicle. The passing truck then collided with the commercial vehicle being inspected before catching fire. The operator of the passing truck was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Governor Josh Shapiro identified Pahira and ordered Commonwealth flags flown at half-staff.
