Pennsylvania state trooper killed in crash on Interstate 81…
Car Crash Milepost Pennsylvania in milepost, Pennsylvania: State trooper Michael Pahira, a 20-year veteran assigned to the Frackville barracks, was killed in a crash on Interstate 81 near milepost 119 in Cass Township on Wednesday morning around 7 a.m. Pahira was working a commercial vehicle enforcement detail and was inspecting a vehicle when both he and that vehicle were struck by a passing truck. The striking truck caught fire, and its driver was injured and taken to an area hospital. Governor Josh Shapiro identified Pahira at a press conference at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Schuylkill – East Norwegian Street.
