Dui Crash Florida Today in Florida: Michael Trudel, 60, of Pennsylvania, was arrested on Monday after being accused of boating under the influence following a boat crash at the Bayside Marina dock on Captiva. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office arrest report, deputies responded to reports of a boat crash at around 12:33 p.m. and found a Grady-White open motorboat wedged between several dock pilings and the dock of the Bayside Marina, with damage to the dock's walkway, pilings, and a utilities box. Witnesses said the motorboat struck a piling while attempting to enter the dock's slip, reversed, then rapidly drove forward, snapping a piling and striking the dock, ejecting the operator. Trudel faces charges of boating under the influence, BUI damage to property, and was issued a citation for careless operation of a vessel.
