Orem man and mother-in-law suffer carbon monoxide poisoning…
Toxic Exposure Orem Utah in Orem, Utah: Marco Arana was working in his mother-in-law Shiree Best's basement in Orem, Utah, using a cement cutter on a Tuesday evening when he suddenly felt ill from carbon monoxide poisoning. Best noticed Arana lying on his back and called 911, after which she also began feeling the effects of CO exposure. A carbon monoxide detector measured 172 parts per million in the basement, and doctors said Arana would have died if he had run the cement cutter for 10 more minutes. Both are expected to make a full recovery.
