Car Crash Of Dumont New York in of Dumont, New York: On July 1, 2026, at approximately 7:55 a.m., New York State Police responded to a one-car crash on Albany Post Road in the town of Shawangunk. A preliminary investigation determined that a white Chevrolet Colorado driven by Robert J. Challener, 46, of Dumont, NJ, was traveling northbound when he failed to navigate a curve near the intersection of Old Galeville Road. Challener was not wearing a seatbelt and was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center for serious injuries. He was issued tickets for Vehicle and Traffic Violations and is due to appear in Shawangunk Town Court.
