Fall Injury Vicksburg Mississippi in Vicksburg, Mississippi: A 19-year-old murder suspect, Demetrius Cormier, was hospitalized Tuesday after fleeing investigators and jumping from a second-floor balcony at a Motel 6 in Vicksburg while officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant. He landed headfirst, was treated at the scene, and transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where he was treated and released and returned to police custody. Cormier was previously charged with murder in connection with the January 2023 death of 13-year-old Carleone Woodward. Phillip Moore Jr., a co-defendant in that case, was also arrested during the Motel 6 operation.
