Man stabbed in downtown Wichita after dispute over cellphone
Assault Wichita Kansas in Wichita, Kansas: A 39-year-old man was stabbed Wednesday afternoon following a physical altercation near Third and Topeka in downtown Wichita, according to the Wichita Police Department. Police said the confrontation began when a 42-year-old suspect believed the victim's girlfriend had taken his cellphone and confronted her. When the victim stepped in, the situation escalated and the suspect stabbed him. The victim was taken to a hospital, where the suspect was also taken into custody.
