Car Crash West Hartford Connecticut in West Hartford, Connecticut: A man was seriously injured on Wednesday afternoon when his car crashed into a tree on Simsbury Road near Tumblebrook Lane in West Hartford, Connecticut, police said. West Hartford police Capt. Aaron Vafiades said the crash occurred at 2:41 p.m. and the driver was extricated by firefighters and transported to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. Simsbury Road was closed between King Edward Road and North Main Street but has since reopened. Police asked anyone with information to contact the West Hartford Police Department.
