Boating Accident Indianapolis Indiana in Indianapolis, Indiana: Erik Christopher Neither, 54, of Indianapolis died after a canoeing accident on June 25 when the boat overturned in a retention pond near the Willows housing addition on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Neither brought his fiancée Courtney Stinnett to safety before he died. He had been canoeing with his son and nephew. Emergency personnel responded and scuba divers used sonar devices and underwater cameras in the search, according to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
