Bicycle Crash Ellicott City Maryland in Ellicott City, Maryland: A young girl riding her bicycle in Maryland was killed Tuesday afternoon after she fell into the path of a dump truck, police said. The crash happened around 1:55 p.m. on June 30 in the 2000 block of Daniels Road in Ellicott City, according to Howard County police. Investigators said the girl was riding her bicycle in the roadway when she fell into the path of a 2004 Sterling LT9500 dump truck and was pronounced dead at the scene. The dump truck driver was not injured and remained at the scene as officers launched an investigation.
