Hit And Run Houston Texas in Houston, Texas: A suspect fleeing Houston police in a stolen vehicle was struck and killed by oncoming traffic along Highway 6 in west Houston early Wednesday morning, July 1, 2026. The pursuit ended in the Westpark area when the suspect crashed, fled on foot, landed on the highway's service road, and was hit by oncoming traffic after refusing to comply with a traffic stop. Two people were transported from the scene, and the southbound side of the highway was closed between Alief Clodine Road and Bellaire Boulevard. The Harris County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation.
