Police Pursuit Crash El Paso Texas in El Paso, Texas: A 23-year-old El Paso man, Luis Angel Payan, was arrested after leading Texas Department of Public Safety troopers on a 10-mile motorcycle pursuit on Interstate 10 reaching speeds of 140 mph on the morning of June 26, 2026. The chase began in West El Paso when a trooper tried to pull over a blue 2007 Suzuki GSX-R750 sportsbike for unsafe lane changes, and ended when the motorcyclist crashed into a wall on the I-10 underpass after exiting at Lomaland Drive. Payan fled on foot north on Lomaland Drive before being apprehended, then was transported by ambulance to Del Sol Medical Center for medical clearance before being booked into the El Paso County Jail on a felony charge of evading arrest with a vehicle.
