The California Highway Patrol reported that a green 2026 Porsche coupe traveling west on Ladd at high speed rear-ended a black 2016 Ram pickup truck; the Ram overturned off the north side of the road, and the Porsche became engulfed in flames. The 57-year-old Porsche driver from Modesto was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger and the occupants of a white 2023 Mercedes SUV suffered major injuries.
