Driver crashes into fire truck at Daytona Beach crash scene…
Hit And Run Daytona Beach Florida in Daytona Beach, Florida: Florida Highway Patrol says a 27-year-old DeLand man driving a 2020 Honda Civic failed to stop and crashed into a fire truck at the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash on West International Speedway Boulevard in Daytona Beach. The driver of the Civic then fled the scene, leading troopers and Volusia County Sheriff's deputies on a pursuit that ended when the Civic ran off the road and struck a pole near International Speedway Boulevard and Amelia Avenue. The suspect was caught after attempting to run on foot, taken to a hospital to be medically cleared, and booked into the Volusia County Jail on charges including leaving the scene of a crash, reckless driving, resisting an officer without violence, and violation of probation. A passenger was to be separately charged by the sheriff's office. None of the firefighters at the original crash scene were injured.
