Hit And Run Daytona Beach Florida in Daytona Beach, Florida: Florida Highway Patrol was investigating a single-vehicle rollover crash involving a 1997 Honda CR-V on West International Speedway Boulevard in Daytona Beach when the driver of a 2020 Honda Civic failed to stop and crashed into a fire truck at the scene. The Civic driver, a 27-year-old DeLand man, fled and led troopers and Volusia County Sheriff's deputies on a pursuit that ended when the Civic ran off the road and struck a pole near International Speedway Boulevard and Amelia Avenue. The suspect was caught after trying to run on foot, taken to a hospital to be medically cleared, and booked into the Volusia County Jail on charges including leaving the scene of a crash, reckless driving, resisting an officer without violence, and violation of probation. None of the firefighters at the original crash scene were injured.
