Driver charged after vehicle crashes into Union County home…

Hit And Run Union North Carolina in Union, North Carolina: On Saturday, June 27, 2026, deputies responded to a vehicle crash near the 4400 block of Plyler Mill Road in Union County, North Carolina, where a GMC Yukon left the roadway and crashed into a home. The driver, later identified as Gustavo Sanchez, and a female passenger, Naesha Baucom, fled the scene on foot. The homeowners were inside the residence at the time of the crash but were not injured. Sanchez is being charged with felony hit and run (personal injury) and driving while license revoked for an impaired driving revocation, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol is still investigating.
