Cove City woman killed in head-on crash with dump truck in…

Car Crash Craven North Carolina in Craven, North Carolina: A 30-year-old Cove City woman was killed on July 1, 2026, in a head-on crash involving a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze and a 2006 Peterbilt dump truck on N.C. 55 near Dover Road in Craven County, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. The woman was traveling west on N.C. 55 when she crossed the centerline and collided with the eastbound dump truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Craven County medical examiner. The 56-year-old dump truck driver from Maysville was evaluated at the scene and released.
