Workplace Accident Michigan Today in Michigan: A 35-year-old Ira Township man was rescued after a trench wall collapsed on him at a construction site in Oxford Township on Tuesday morning. Workers were installing field tile for a septic system on the 3900 block of Barber Road when the man entered the trench to glue pipes together and the wall collapsed, burying him beneath soil. Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office and the Oxford Fire Department pulled him out, and he was reported in stable condition. The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration is leading the workplace safety investigation.
