Hit And Run Westchester New York in Westchester, New York: Yonkers police were pursuing a suspect vehicle connected to an earlier carjacking on the morning of July 1, 2026, when the vehicle continued into the Bronx. The suspect collided head-on with a marked Yonkers police car while driving the wrong way on a Mosholu Parkway exit ramp. As officers approached to apprehend him, the suspect drove toward a uniformed officer outside his vehicle, prompting the officer to fire several shots before the suspect fled. The officer in the crashed cruiser was injured and is in stable condition; no officers were struck by gunfire and no civilians were injured. The suspect remained at large.
