Car Crash Bridgeport Connecticut in Bridgeport, Connecticut: Ben Garcia, 43, of Bridgeport, suffered a severe traumatic brain injury after a motorized scooter crash on Father's Day. Bridgeport police were called to Seaside Park at West Beach around 7:25 p.m. on June 21 for a reported crash in the bike lane adjacent to Barnum Drive. Capt. Blackwell said investigators determined Garcia was operating a stand-up motorized scooter and traveling east in the bike lane when he lost control and fell.
