Motorcycle Crash Abilene Texas in Abilene, Texas: A 19-year-old female motorcyclist, Jordan Ballard, an airman assigned to Dyess Air Force Base, was killed in a collision with a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Dub Wright Boulevard and Texas Avenue in Abilene on June 30, 2026. Police said the Jeep was traveling southbound on Dub Wright Boulevard and attempted to turn left onto eastbound Texas Avenue, failing to yield the right of way to the northbound Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. Ballard was pronounced dead at the scene by the justice of the peace despite life-saving efforts. Police said intoxication does not appear to be a factor and the APD Traffic Division is continuing its investigation.
