Assault Boulder Colorado in Boulder, Colorado: A 73-year-old man was seriously injured after being attacked and robbed while hiking down the Boulder Creek Path in the 40,000 block of Boulder Canyon Drive around sunset on Monday. A man approached him, accused him of stealing his girlfriend's marijuana joint, followed him down the trail toward his parked car, and attacked him from behind, causing him to lose consciousness. A passerby found the hiker unresponsive and called 911; he regained consciousness before emergency personnel arrived and was taken to a local hospital with serious blunt-force trauma injuries. His wallet, including bank cards, driver's license, and cash, was missing. The Boulder County Sheriff's Office is seeking help identifying the suspect.
