Workplace Accident Courtland Alabama in Courtland, Alabama: Jehu Hester, 71, of Russellville, was killed in a farm accident in Courtland, Alabama on Wednesday morning. According to Lawrence County Coroner Scott Norwood, Hester was a chicken litter broker who became caught in an auger machine used to move chicken litter into a truck. The accident occurred on County Road 136 and the death was ruled accidental. Authorities are investigating the incident.
