Car Crash Newberry County South Carolina in Ridgeway, South Carolina: A 70-year-old Columbia resident, Hector A. Colorado Cogua, was killed Sunday night in a three-vehicle collision on eastbound Interstate 26 in Newberry County, South Carolina. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2017 Toyota Camry stopped for traffic near the 88-mile marker and a 2025 International box truck was slowing when it was struck from behind by a 2025 Nissan Sentra driven by Cogua. The impact pushed the box truck into the rear of the Camry. Cogua died at the scene; the other two drivers were not injured. The Highway Patrol and coroner's office are investigating.
