Car Crash Pierson Florida in Pierson, Florida: A 30-year-old man from Astor was killed in a head-on crash around 5:30 a.m. on State Road 40 west of Check Station Road in Pierson, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The man was driving a 2004 Buick Rendezvous eastbound when the SUV traveled onto the right shoulder; he overcorrected, crossed into the westbound lanes, and collided head-on with a 2017 Ford F-350 hauling a trailer. The Buick driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The 19-year-old Ford driver later drove himself to a local hospital, and his 39-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
