Workplace Accident Oxford Michigan in Oxford, Michigan: A 35-year-old Ira Township man was rescued after a trench wall collapsed on him at a construction site in Oxford Township on the morning of June 30, 2026. Workers were installing field tile for a septic system when the man entered the trench to glue pipe together and the wall collapsed, burying him in soil. Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office and Oxford Fire Department extricated him, and he was transported to McLaren Oakland Hospital in stable condition.
