Car Crash Apple Valley California in Apple Valley, California: A 33-year-old woman died and two children in her car were badly injured when another vehicle ran a stop sign and struck their car broadside in Apple Valley on Saturday night, authorities said. Lorena Lopez of Apple Valley died in the collision, which took place about 8:20 p.m. June 27 at Wichita and Zuni roads, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials and coroner's records. The driver of a 2022 Toyota Camry failed to stop at the posted stop sign on Wichita Road at Zuni Road and broadsided the Nissan Altima, sheriff's officials said. The Toyota driver was pulled from his car as it caught fire and taken to a hospital for treatment.
