Woman found dead in Maine pond while searching for golf bal…

Drowning Scarborough Maine in Scarborough, Maine: Bette Reilly, 47, of Westbrook, Maine, was found dead in a pond near 9 Pond View Drive in Scarborough on June 28 after disappearing while searching for golf balls near the pond's edge. The Maine Warden Service Dive Team located her body in about 9 feet of water roughly 30 minutes into the search. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Office of Chief Medical Examiner will determine her cause and manner of death. An investigation is ongoing.
