Car Crash Iowa Today in Iowa: A three-vehicle collision occurred just after 4 p.m. Monday on Highway 9 in Mitchell County, Iowa. A westbound 2008 Pontiac Solstice driven by Jay Schaub, 66, of Grafton, rear-ended a westbound 2019 Chevy Silverado driven by Jason Elgin, 43, of Rudd, near the intersection with River Road, then crashed head-on with an eastbound 2015 Chevy Silverado driven by Hakkon Rosendahl, 37, of Osage. Schaub suffered life-threatening injuries and Elgin suffered non-life-threatening injuries; both were transported to Mitchell County Regional Health System. The Iowa State Patrol says the accident remains under investigation.
