Two killed when charter bus carrying airline crew overturns…

Car Crash Maspeth New York in Maspeth, New York: A chartered coach bus carrying the crew of Royal Jordanian Flight 8261 overturned on the westbound Long Island Expressway near the Greenpoint Avenue exit in Maspeth, Queens, around 11:45 p.m. Monday. The bus first struck two vehicles, hit the center divider, then overturned into the eastbound lanes and collided with two more vehicles. The bus driver and one passenger were pronounced dead at the scene; the driver of one eastbound vehicle was hospitalized in critical condition, three other drivers were in stable condition, and about two dozen bus passengers were transported to area hospitals for evaluation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
