Witnesses told the Dakota County Sheriff's Office that a Chevy Malibu was driving north in the southbound lanes of Highway 77 near 210th Street, between Homer and Dakota City. The 33-year-old Malibu driver from South Sioux City was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 46-year-old driver of a Ford Edge, also from South Sioux City, was life-flighted to a hospital where she died of her injuries.
