Car Crash Long Island Expressway New York in Long Island Expressway, New York: A coach bus traveling westbound on the Long Island Expressway collided with a car near Exit 16 at around 11:45 p.m. Monday, causing the bus to flip over a median and strike two oncoming eastbound vehicles. The coach bus operator and a bus passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. At least 20 other passengers were transported to area hospitals and were expected to be OK. The Long Island Expressway was reopened with residual delays reported.
