Car Crash Iowa Today in Osage, Iowa: A three-vehicle collision occurred Monday afternoon on Highway 9 just west of Osage in Mitchell County, Iowa. A westbound Pontiac Solstice driven by 66-year-old Jay Schaub of Grafton rear-ended a westbound Chevy Silverado driven by 43-year-old Jason Elgin of Rudd, then crashed head-on with an eastbound Chevy Silverado driven by 37-year-old Hakkon Rosendahl of Osage. Schaub and Elgin were transported by ambulance to Mitchell County Regional Health System in Osage, with Schaub suffering life-threatening injuries and Elgin's injuries deemed non-life threatening. The Iowa State Patrol said the accident remains under investigation.
