The specialized crew, which deploys by helicopter to remote areas to suppress new blazes, was overrun by flames and attempted to use tent-like emergency shelters as a last resort before being overcome. The victims were identified as Emily Barker, 38, of Clinton Township, Michigan; Nick Hutcherson, 27, of Glendale, Arizona; and Sydney Watson, 26, of Warrior, Alabama. Federal officials said the deaths came nearly 13 years after the Yarnell Hill Fire killed 19 elite firefighters in Arizona.
